If your TachoSafe Lite program is asking for a username and password, and you haven’t set up any login credentials, follow these steps to resolve the issue.


Default Login Credentials

By default, the TachoSafe Lite application uses the following credentials:

  • Username: Admin

  • Password: 1234

? Please ensure there are no extra spaces or capitalisation errors when entering the credentials.


Login Not Accepted? Here’s What to Do

If the default username and password (Admin / 1234) do not work, it’s possible the user database file has become corrupted or was changed.

To fix this:

  1. Close the TachoSafe Lite application completely.

  2. Navigate to the following folder on your computer:
    C:\TachoSafe 1.0 Lite\data

  3. Locate and delete the file:
    user.db

  4. Restart the TachoSafe Lite application.


Important Note

  • Deleting the user.db file does not affect your tachograph data or downloaded files.

  • This action only resets the user login information.
