Latest Firmware version:    1.1.0

Latest Bootloader version: 1.0.4

Until Over-The-Air (OTA) updates are available, Firmware(Fw) and Bootloader(Bl) updates must be performed manually  or semi-automated.

Please follow the steps below with your chosen option:

Update manually

  1. Download the Fw(Tacho5Safe_Pro.bin, Tacho5Safe_Pro.crc)/Bl(Tacho5Safe_Pro_Bootloader.bin, Tacho5Safe_Pro_Bootloader.crc) files from the attachments provided.
  2. Connect the device to your computer using a USB cable.
  3. Wait until the device appears on your computer as a USB mass storage device named T5S_Pro
  4. Open the T5S_Pro drive, and copy the downloaded Fw/Bl files into the DOWNLOAD folder on the device.
  5. Disconnect the device from your computer and wait a few minutes. The device will automatically check and update the bootloader if necessary.  If an update occurs, the device will indicate it with two short beeps and a few full progress bar flashes
  6. Plug the device back into your computer. It will now check and update the firmware if needed.  If an update occurs, the device will again indicate it with two short beeps and a few full progress bar flashes
  7. Once the update is complete, the device will reappear as a USB mass storage device
  8. Open Version.txt and verify that the Fw and Bl versions match those listed in this article. If the versions do not match, open  Log_file.txt and look for entries like "Battery level before sleep". If the voltage is below 3600 mV, leave the device plugged in to charge for 30–60 minutes, then repeat the update process.
  9. If you encounter any other issues during the update, please submit a support ticket and attach the Log_File.txt. and our support team will help you resolve the problem.
