Until Over-The-Air (OTA) updates are available, Firmware(Fw) and Bootloader(Bl) updates must be performed manually or semi-automated. 

Please follow the steps below with your chosen option: 


Update manually

  1. Download the Fw(TachoSafe_Station.bin, TachoSafe_Station .crc)/Bl(TachoSafe_Station _Bootloader.bin, TachoSafe_Station _Bootloader.crc) files from the attachments provided.
  2. Connect the device to your computer using a USB cable.  
  3. Wait until the device appears on your computer as a USB mass storage device named TS_Station
  4. Open the TS_Station drive, and copy the downloaded Fw/Bl files into the Download folder on the device. 
  5. After the USB mode time period ellapsed (30 sec after last USB transaction) the device will automatically check and update the bootloader if necessary. 
    1. If an update occurs, the device will indicate it with two short beeps and a few full progress bar flashes. After it restarts the device. 
    2. If the device Bl is up to date then the device goes to company/driver card mode and for Fw update you have to disconnect the device and plug the device back into your computer. 
  6. It will now check and update the firmware if needed.  If an update occurs, the device will again indicate it with two short beeps and a few full progress bar flashes
  7. Once the update is complete, the device will reappear as a USB mass storage device 
  8. Open Device.txt and verify that the Fw and Bl versions match those listed in this article. If the versions do not match, open  Log_file.txt and repeat the update process. 
  9. If you encounter any other issues during the update, please submit a support ticket and attach the Log_File.txt. and our support team will help you resolve the problem.


Update semi-automated

  1. Connect the device to your computer using a USB cable. 
  2. Wait until the device appears on your computer as a USB mass storage device named TS_Station.
  3. Open the TS_Station drive and check if the TS_Station_Updater.exe is existing at root directory. If isn't download it from here from attachment and copy it to the drive.
  4. Start the TS_Station_Updater.exe it will check if your device is up to date or not, and download the necessary files to the drive Download directory.
  5. After the USB mode time period ellapsed (30 sec after last USB transaction) the device will automatically check and update the bootloader if necessary. 
    1. If an update occurs, the device will indicate it with two short beeps and a few full progress bar flashes. After it restarts the device. 
    2. If the device Bl is up to date then the device goes to company/driver card mode and for Fw update you have to disconnect the device and plug the device back into your computer.
