If your Tacho2Safe device displays the message "Download expired!", please note that this is not an error message. It is a notification indicating that the download period has expired for one or more driver cards or vehicle tachographs previously downloaded using this specific device.
To remain compliant with tachograph data download requirements, a new download should be performed for the affected driver card(s) and/or tachograph(s).
Important Information
- This notification applies only to driver cards and tachographs that have been downloaded in the past using the specific Tacho2Safe device displaying the message.
- The warning is generated based on the download history stored in that device.
- Downloads can be performed using any suitable download device; they do not necessarily have to be carried out using the device displaying the notification.
How to Enable or Disable Download Warnings
If you wish to activate or deactivate this notification feature, please follow these steps:
- Turn on the Tacho2Safe device by inserting any card into the card slot with the microchip facing outward (this prevents the normal reading process from starting).
- Press F3 to access the Settings menu.
- Use F1 to select or deselect the checkbox next to Download Warnings.
- Press F4 twice to save the change and exit the menu.
