The TachoSafe Connect device attempts to search for and connect to an available mobile network after a tachograph/driver card download, or after a USB is plugged in (if the device contains uploadable files).
During this process, the LED indicator shows file uploading status with a blinking cloud icon, as detailed below:
File upload after a driver card/tachograph download
File upload in case of USB being plugged in
If the network conncetion (which can take up to 3 minutes)/file upload fails, the LED indicator will show the following statuses:
Network connection/file upload failed after driver card/tachograph download
Network connection/file uploading failed in case of USB being plugged in
If these indications appear frequently, it means a connection or file upload error has occurred. In this case, plug the device into a computer (if it isn't already), open the "Log_file.txt" file, and look for the source of the problem.
If you see the following messages in the log file, it indicates a problem with your local mobile network provider:
- 'RSSI: unknown'
- '0 - Not registered, MT is not currently searching a new operator to register to' (appearing multiple times without susbsequent 'Registered...' message)
- 'Registered home network.' (without subsequent AT+CGDCONT, AT+CGACT, AT+HTTPINIT message)
- 'The network registration failed. Check if you have:...'
- 'The modem detached from the packet domain service.'
- 'The defining of the packet domain protocol context denied.'
- 'The packet domain protocol context deacivated'
If you encounter the messages above, please check with your local mobile network provider and notify us of any network outage by emailing support@tachosafe.ro.
For any other file uploading issues, please download the "Log_file.txt" and send it to us via email to the address provided, or create a support ticket here for assistance.
